"Starting and Growing a Business"
Join us as Speaker Bradley Kaplan discusses his experiences with starting and growing a business from the ground up, including how the brand was developed over time, building scalable operations, people development, shaping culture, and much more. Bradley welcomes and encourages his audience to engage with him directly and ask questions.

Speaker Information:

Born and raised in Cleveland, Bradley graduated from OSU with an undergrad in Civil Engineering and a minor in Spanish.  After spending the first 3 years of his career working in Cleveland, he moved back to Columbus in 2017 to take night classes at OSU for an MBA.  Balancing a full-time job and classes, Bradley started working on the idea of Lion Cub’s Cookies (LCC) in early 2019.  Days before graduating at the top of his class in Business School, Bradley sold his first cookie at a pop-up at the North Market in Downtown Columbus in December 2019.  Fast forward to March 2020, after just 6 pop-ups at the North Market the pandemic began.  Bradley quickly pivoted and within a month developed a proprietary delivery only model.  Delivery took off and Bradley quit his job in May 2020 to focus on growing his business.  Bradley opened his first retail bakery in June 2021 and has seen steady growth in all aspects of the business, reaching average weekly volumes of ~8000 cookies per week out of a 1000 SF storefront.  Bradley has plans for regional expansion over the next 3-5 years with national expansion as the long-term goal.
